Communication

The word Communication is derived from latin word "communis or communicare" which means to make common.It means sharing of thought, Ideas and emotions between two persons, In other word

Exchange of ideas thoughts opinions information,message,feeling, emotions etc.

According to Ordway Tead, "Transmission  may be a composite of

a) Information given and received

b) Learning experience in which certain attitudes Knowledge and skill change

 c) Sensitive interaction of point of view leading to a higher level of shared understanding and common intention.

 
Methods of Communication

Communication is basis of maintaining successful relation .It is vital for professionals working in business environments to have good communication skill. there are 3 types if communication

 1)Verbal Communication

 2)Non-verbal communication

 3)Visual communication

 

 

Verbal Communication

 Verbal communication use word to transfer a massage. it includes the synchronous transmission and receipt of a message.. Verbal communication is divided into 4 parts:-

1) Interpersonal Communication :- Communication take place between two individual and is a one -to-one communication

2) Interpersonal Communication :- Communication take place with One's self, and that may include self talk, act of imagination and visualization.

 3) Small Group Communication :- Communication take place only when there are three or more people involved .Press conference , board meeting ,Team meeting are example of group communication

4) Public Communication :- Communication happen when one individual addresses an outsizes gathering of individuals Election campaigns and public Speeches are example of this sort of communication

 

Verbal Communication is further divided into :

 

1) Oral Communication : In this communication spoken words are used. oral communication Influence by Pitch, volume,speed and clarity of speaking.

2) Written Communication : It is most common form of communication being used in business.it is better communication is in black and white.

 

Non-verbal communication

Non-verbal communication is correspondence without words. This transmission is through signals, non-verbal communication, stance or outward appearances.. It is all about the visual communication of speaker. Facial expressions are the foremost common among all nonverbal communication. For instance, a smile or a glare conveys distinct emotions hard to express through non-verbal

 

Non-verbal communication is of different types.

 1) Expressions : The face is incredibly expressive, prepared to communicate endless feelings without saying a word.

2) Posture. Posture indicates the position during which we hold the body when standing or sitting.

3) Gestures. Movements and signals are a crucial thanks to communicate meaning without words.

4) Eye contact. Eye contact is a crucial sort of nonverbal communication. .

5) Touch. We convey a lot through touch. e.g. Weak handshake, Warm Hug etc.

6) Para Language : Para language is the tone of our voice, speed and volume that makes a difference in the meaning of the communication. Speaking too fast may show excitement

 
Visual communication

Visual communication is communication through the use of visual aids. It is visual display of information like topography, photography, signs, symbols and designs etc. Television and video clips are the electronic form of visual communication.For example
